What to give dad....I know that's hard! How about another cute decoration for his desk, den, bedroom, whatever! These are some cute dad letters altered in our new father's day product.
Here's the instructions...(find the product here)
|Step 1||1. Stain wood letters and let dry.|
|Step 2||2. Mod Podge paper to wood as shown (follow directions on the bottle).|
|Step 3||3. Cut “My Hero” from Newspaper Print paper and Mod Podge down the side on the letter A.|
|Step 4||4. Cut a red and yellow circle out of Father Label paper. Glue to chipboard and cut out again. Put yellow star brad on yellow circle and red star brad on red circle. Cut 4 small scraps of chipboard and glue on the back of circles. One on each side of the back of the brad. This allows you to glue the circle down easier and gives a little more dimension.|
|Step 5||5. Glue photos to the back so faces show through the holes in the wood.|
Hope you like the idea!
Can you guess what I'm talking about??? FATHER'S DAY! The rest of this week I will be posting some fun ideas to give your husband, father, brother, grandfather, etc. Give him something handmade and straight from the heart. Today I'm posting our fun Memory Hide Away Box. Fill this with treats or a mini album in each drawer (there are 4). It would be great for a father's desk, either at work or home.
since my last post so I figured I'd better get back and post. So much is going on around Adornit (Carolee's). The last two days have been non-stop with deadlines. I am happy to report I haven't missed any so that is always a good sign. I had our metal accent samples come the other day, that was fun! I will try to post photos of them soon. We had a truckload of new paper delivered yesterday. It's our June 2006 release which will be new camping stuff! It's way fun, my sister Alison designed almost all of it. The catalog will be delivered on Friday and then we'll start our big mailer out to all the stores who buy from us. The product will be shipping to stores the first week of June, just in time for everyone's exciting camping adventures. On a personal note I'm excited because tomorrow my husband's best friends is getting married. We'll be gone all day so I will be out of the office. It will be nice to have a break and not to mention I always love a good wedding breakfast! Hope you're all doing wonderful, I'll have more to post Thursday. XOXOXO-Georgana
at CKU today. Just wanted to quickly post and tell all the girls I met today Darcee and I had lots of fun. We hope you had fun learning how to use the Hot Boss and Texture Templates. Thanks for the great day. You'll have more from Jamie tomorrow. Good Night! XOXOXO-Georgana
So I am starting to get brave and try new things. I took the lead from my daughter Madisann. She made the school talent show, and as I have watched her practice, and perform in front of her friends today I wondered...what made her so brave? I don't think as a fourth grader I could have stood up in front of an audience and sang, let alone belted out Aretha Franklin's RESPECT. She is amazing to me!!! So I decided to step outside of my graphic world and try a little freestyle. Now my freestyle still has a graphic feel to it, and I like that, it is still me, just me a bit loosened up. So this is my challenge to you today, try something new, be brave. Whether it be in your scrapbooking, or anything in your life, just go for it!! Thanks Madisann, for giving me some courage!!! -Jamie
