only mean one thing in my book - FALL is on it's way!!! That's right the air is bit cooler, kids are heading back to school, and I am completely sick of my garden. I think Eric is going to dig it up this afternoon. Well, we have such a fun surprise for each of you that love our Adornit Idea Trifolds. We have had many people ask for the patterns to cut the wood themselves, we listened to your requests. Let me just introduce you to Volume One of our new Pattern Books!!! They are at press right now and will be available in about two weeks. The best news - we are also offering these books as subscription! Click here to sign up. We will still sell the wood for each individual project - but this is another option. And here my friends are my favorite projects in the book:
you'll ever see - okay so that's my opinion LOL! Here are some cute snapshots I took of the kids last weekend. Dax is already 3 months!!! (above is the outfit we blessed Dax in a few weeks ago - i didn't take a single picture of him the day of the blessing so i dressed him up again so I'd quit feeling so guilty! the blanket my aunt made for me when i was a baby and so i have blessed dax and boston in it. the little jacket he's wearing my great-grandma fern made for boston and so i though i would make it tradition and bless dax in it too.)
I am seriously having so much fun looking at all the beautiful ideas the winners of our products are making. I wish I just had an entire eight hours - without children or deadlines, to scraplift all these ideas and get some layouts done. You're going to love these vivacious layouts that Sarah has created... she was the lucky winner of our Glamorous Collection. Here we GO!!!
My name is Sarah Moerman and I live in London, Ontario Canada. I'm a 30
year old SAHM with 4 kids 4 years old and under. My older boys are 4 1/2 and 3,
and then I have 11 month old boy/girl twins. I've been married to my wonderful
husband for 8 years. How wonderful is he? He took 6 months parental leave after
our twins were born! Don't know what I would have done without his help during
I've been scraping on and off for over 8 years, first helping my Mom scrap my
childhood album and then starting on my own with my wedding album (which was a
wedding gift). I've mostly scraped about trips and our kids. I've enjoyed
seeing how my style has evolved over the years and am interested in learning
and trying new things.
Do you have a creativity spot where you post ideas and creative 'starters'? I have a magnetic board that I keep by my computer that I will tear images and post them there. It also doubles as a chalkboard so I will scribble my ideas so that when I find time to come back to them I can remember and have a starting place. Michelle Weed who is the neice of our editor, Debbie Raymond shared with us her Bulletin Board. When Debbie emailed me her pictures I knew I had to post this on my blog to share with you. Michelle said, " I sent the bulletin board picture because I think it is funny that almost all the pictures I have on it for inspiration for future pages came out of your catalogs and trifolds. Ilove it." Thanks Michelle for sharing this with us - it's so fun to see!! If don't receive our free trifolds you can sign up by clicking here. And I will have some great news to share with you later this week - it will answer the question about what I've been working on.
TO ME!!! Today Eric and I are celebrating four years together. Time flies, yet it's hard to believe we have two kids - life sure is wonderful! Love you Eric! p.s. Happy anniversary to Robin and Ted, they share the same day! (Robin is on our Adornit DT)
are you ready for some more great ideas using the Timeless Collection? Angie Smith (winner of product package) has some gorgeous layout ideas that I can't wait to scraplift. Here's the drum roll for Angie....
My name is Angie Smith and I am 32 years old. I am a
SAHM of 4 great kids (3 boys, one girl). I have been married to my loving
husband Doug for 14 years. He, as well as the kids, are sources of constant
I started scrapbooking in Aug. 2005 after seeing a
Scrapbooking show on DIY network. I walked into my first LSS, and was hooked.
The only set style I have is simple. I am all over the place
with my pages. I love to try everything at least once. My favorite technique
has to be sewing . I just love the look it gives. If I didn't tire of changing
bobbin thread, I'd use it more.
What I loved about using the Timeless Collection, is that it
was so easy to use with any type of pictures and subjects. I used it with
vintage pics, and did pages of my daughter, the beach, my sons and my husband.
It has such a warm, cozy feel to the collection. I was
instantly inspired to make the Cuddle Me page. I cut up one piece of the pp in
a crazy quilt style pattern. And then sewed it back together with red thread.
is another one of our wonderful product winners and she is here to 'WOW' us with her beautiful projects. Lucy's favorite collection we released was Timeless - you're going to love what she created.
My name is Lucy Kearns and I live in Cambridge, Ontario with my husband,
Ross, and my two children, Mitchell and Lauren. I've always been involved in
art and crafting for as long as I can remember. My mother taught me to
crochet when I was 5 and it all snowballed from there - fiber crafts, floral
crafts, stamping, home decorating and paper crafts to name a few. If it was in
the craft store I had to try it.
I found scrapbooking in the spring of 2005 and haven't looked back. Not only
could I preserve my family's memories but I could do it while indulging my need
to create and be creative. The satisfaction I get from my craft is surpassed by
few other things. I enjoy it so much I decided to start my own kit company last
year named Lucy Kearns Designs. Paper is my inspiration - colour, texture and
pattern all play an important role in my designs. I'm a self-professed paper
addict and simply cannot get enough of it.
As Design Team Co-ordinator at Scraphoria.ca, I'm enjoying expanding my own style and
techniques in varied ways. Variety is the spice of life and that is reflected
in my eclectic scrapbooking style. Simple and understand or a visual feast
-- anything is possible when you've got some paper, tools and embellishments. I
was so excited to receive this kit. It was even more beautiful in person that
it was online. I hope my projects do it justice.
