my favorite present...

Was going to the doctor this morning and finding out we're having a little boy!I didn't care either way, but Eric and my mom were positive it was a boy - they were right. He seems to be healthy and growing. I was a bit disappointed because we didn't get a good shot of his face he was being very stubborn (just like his dad and brother) and would not move from his comfortable position. So, I'll have to be happy with these cute pictures of his feet. With Boston I was able to get a 3-D picture of his face and it was amazing how he came out looking just like his picture, that's why I was disappointed this little guy wouldn't show us. Eric and I cannot decide on a name and if you know my husband at all it would make perfect sense that he comes up with goofy names like Shed, Wally, or Nim (just to annoy me). So, if you know any good baby boy names send them to me, I'm open just so I don't have a little boy named Nim.

Fun Stuff Day 2...

One of my favorite columns in Creating Keepsakes is Becky's Sketch. I love to see all the different angles people take on her sketches and how different they all look when put together in the magazine. On page 64 Laura Swinson used our Fruity-Tutie Stripe from the Freckles Collection and our metal accent, Red Open Heart.

uary issue is a must have. It is stuffed full of awesome ideas. The first part has more seasonal ideas and in the back they have everyday inspiration. So, it's a book you can keep on your desk and refer to often. By turning to page 65 Tammy Morrill, the editor spotlighted our winter products- Winter Paper Clips, Winter Metal Accents, and our Winter Collection paper line.

Today was just a crazy day for me because Eric switched his schedule around so he could go to a basketball game tonight. So, I was only in the office for about an hour and didn't have a chance to make a card or anything for Eileen. Today was her last day working for us at the office. She has been offered an exciting job at one of our local scrapbook stores. Don't worry though, we will continued to be inspired by Eileens scrapbooking because she will remain on our Design Team. Eileen, we appreciate all that you have brought to the company and for sharing your talents with us. You will be missed, but we know that you will succeed in your next opportunity.

Fun Stuff on my Desk...

Look at all these inspiring magazines - I love each time I receive a new one. I think I have just about digested each one, lots of fun ideas I can't wait to incorporate into my books. More than the inspiration we love to see when our product has been featured or used, it just makes our work here that much more worth it. The next few days I'm going to show you a picture and reference you to the magazine where you can become inspired. Today I am going to start in the BHG Scrapbooks Etc. January 2007 magazine. Turn to page 85 and you'll find our ad - it's our drool-worthy Love Collection.

Who's in the layout you ask? It's my cute sister Alison, who also designed several of the papers and stickers. I designed the yummy ribbon. The sticker and paper is shipping to stores now and the ribbon will begin shipping the end of the month. Check with your stores to purchase the collection, it won't be available on our website until middle of January.

Turn to page 18. See that cute layout by Candi Gershon? I love the giant circles! She used Daisies Away, Lemon Dots, and Birthday Sprinkles.

Next turn to page 68. First, I love the sketch - I've gotta incorporate that into a 12x12. I also love how clean and sleek this look is and the photo inside the zero is too cute. Okay so what product did she use? One of my favorite rub-ons, Love Swirls (in fact I just used it on a western layout the other day). Thanks Amanda Post for inspiring us with the rub-on!

This magazine is a definite pick-me-up if you don't already have it!

Tuesdays with Amber...

Hey everyone! Ok- Once again.. time for the weekly update on whats going on with the new lines coming out! Aren't you excited to read about it this week?! ok- So I've said a little about the open shelf lines. I've shown you the colors (you can refer to November posts to find them again)- and now I'm gonna tell you what can go with them. I've made the matching ribbons- which you saw last week, and I've also made matching foam stickers and a chipboard set. Now Adornit is starting up a new line of chipboard items. They are going to be FABULOUS!!!!! I'm  (once again) so excited to see these in person! My chipboard set will include a border piece, separate flowers- which are "building" flowers. they will have several different shaped flowers to "build" on each other. Plus a couple other pieces.... but it's going to be so fun to use. I personally- get very little inspiration by product alone. I have to have the pictures and paper in front of me and then choose my embellishment product. So to have a piece of chipboard in front of me and DYING to use it... says a lot. Like I said before, I want to create products that I myself would love to use... so hopefully there are a lot of you out there that feel the same. The foam stickers are so adorable! Adornit has been selling these and they've been a huge hit! Check them out on their website!! These foam stickers will coordinate with the open lines. They will include flowers, photo ancors, tags, and circles. And I'll be nice and give you yet another sneak peak at what it looks like! All these items will be sold separatley- but will all be coordinated. Literally- you could buy every piece and it would be a kit in and of itself. So cool! Thanks for all the support! I think countdown should begin pretty soon- we only have about 6 weeks until CHA 2007!!!!!

finally finished!!!

With my 2005 Christmas scrapbook pages. I made these four pages over the weekend. A total of 10 2005 Christmas layouts. LOVED the new dimensional alphabet sticker, I used them on all four of these pages. I also had so much fun using our new Christmas paper, they all laid down so nicely together.

yeah, it's saturday!

turned on cartoons for boston so i could sleep a little longer. have the washer going full speed trying to do all the laundry. sad thing is, folding is the hard part. thursday i finally sat down and folded a load of laundry that had been sitting on my couch since last saturday. i am going to make dinner tonight for the first time this week. boston is down for a nap so you can guess what i'm going to do - yep scrapbook! i only have a few pictures left and i have last years christmas finished. so far i have finished three, double page layouts. here's one i did last week.
so this week was busy, busy, busy at work. we are almost finished with a HUGE deadline. working on more fun stuff for CHA release. had a ribbon shipment that we sent by AIR so that it would hurry and get here, well it was stuck in customs. luckily not for too long, we got everything straightened out. the design team is working on their first assignment for the 2007 year. we had a shipment come in yesterday, ooooooh... that's another reason i can't wait to scrap today. it was our dimensional alphabet stickers and sticker books. below are pictures. have a fabulous weekend - i plan on finishing all my christmas wrapping tonight - then i have to decide whether or not it's too late to send Christmas cards or if i should make neighbor gifts. hmmmmmmm....

Last day with Amy...

Has everyone seen the Apprentice winner, Amber's, scrap line? Oooh I love the circles, the flowers, and the colors, what a combo! Great job Amber!!! 

 

I had this not so cute photo holder for my daughter's bedroom and decided to put some of Amber's papers on there, what an improvement!  And I altered the frame with some more papers, some circles and her name.  And check out the new acrylic stamps from Adornit!  Finally something that stamps out years old, I've been waiting.  And how cute are the flower stamps?  They come with the alphabet, what a bonus!!!

Day 3 with Amy...

When is the last time you scrapped about yourself?  I was challenged to do so for a contest by Sassacraft.  As much as I hate doing layouts about myself, or having my picture taken, I think this one turned out rather well... hehe!  Don't you?  These papers are probably my all time fav from Adornit.  The bright colors, the fun patterns, I've used them on numerous pages.  And I can't get enough of the Adornit arrow stamps, you will find them on quite a few of my layouts lately, they are just a fun little addition!  So here I am...

Day 2 with Amy...

Me again, I'm jumping from Christmas to some flowery pages, that is what I do in scrappin, I scrap to whatever mood I am in.  No chronological for this girl! 

Flowers seem to be all the rage in scrapping right now, and lucky for me Adornit has a lot of flowery choices to choose from!  From metal accents, to acrylic stamps, to laser cut, to 3-d accents, their flower variety is outstanding!  On these layouts I used just a small bit of the tons that Adornit has to offer, the best part, they match their paper lines!
