I was invited to participate in a Memorial Day Bloghop this weekend with Cards for Heroes. Click here to learn more about Cards for Heroes.org. If my blog is the first place you have come I suggest you go here to start at the beginning and then work your way around the hop.
To participate in the bloghop we were asked to create a card that we will send CFH. The only requirement was to keep the colors patriotic. Here's my card:
Adornit Supplies:
93140 Independence Day Sticker
21968 Scattered Stars 12x12
21967 Patriotic Stars 12x12
21965 Hot Stars 12x12
58828 Red Polka 1/4" Ribbon
Memorial Day holds a special place in my heart because my Grandpa passed away the evening of Memorial Day 18 years ago. I was just a little girl but those memories are still so vivid in my mind all these years later. He was such a wonderful grandfather, father, and husband and I love to take a bit of time each Memorial Day and privately reflect on his life and the love I feel for him and for my grandma. (I'm sure that none of my family even knows that I do this, now they will.) My Grandpa also served time in World War II and I have this handsome picture of him in uniform:
So this weekend I want everyone to know that my heart will be thinking about those who are out fighting and serving time for our country and I will make sure I say a special prayer for them. I am very blessed and grateful.

And let's do a giveaway! I will send one lucky person an Adornit Patriotic Memory Kit so be sure to leave a comment and tell me what you're doing for this 3 Day Weekend.
There`s so many ways I could use this kit, I wouldn`t be able to decide. I could use it for pictures we take at our friends cottage, fall pictures of the kids playing in the leaves, or back o school pictures and not to mention Halloween. The colour combinations in this kit make it so versatile and irresistible!
