It
all started for a little Chinese school girl in the early 80's, when China
was still largely closed to the world, when her world was still blue and grey.
Then came a vendor, waiting for the kids outside of the school gate, he
had colorful stickers. The school girl fell in love with the stickers and began
collecting them with all the pocket money she had... She didn't have much,
but she had enough to amass a tiny treasure box of stickers, one that she keeps
still... Many many years later, she walked into an LSS, a grown
woman, with a professional job and disposable income!!! There were WALLS
of stickers, rolls and rolls of stickers, sheets and sheets of
stickers... Finally, that love affair was realized, fully, passionately,
and continuously. Stickers, oh goodness gracious, stickers...
So now back to AdornIt, one of the main reasons I love this brand is the
enormous collection of stickers, cardstock ones at that! In fact I know
exactly the first set of AdornIt stickers I bought, because I used it on the
front and back cover of a mini-album that is in the Oct 2009 issue of
Scrapbook Trends.
There are so many ways to use these fabulous cardstock stickers, here I have
focused on the boy birthday line and the stickers from that collection and made
three birthday cards. I love the fun fabulous colors in this collection and
they don't have to be for just boys!
